4 Star Ethanol Free leaded Petrol of all grades still available at Murco, Mill Lane, Beverley, East Yorkshire.
Unfortunately the Murco sites at Harrogate, Bradford, & Wakefield etc went over to Ethanol on 21st November 2011.
The DfT claim putting Ethanol in petrol is a petrol industry decision. Perhaps it is but only because they get fined if they don't contaminate our petrol!
Please ensure you write to your MP about this scam, He/She is duty bound to reply to you which is more than I can say for Philip Hammond and Norman Baker,
I wrote a letter to them dated 21st September 2011.
Once upon a time in this country we had choices.
Talking about choices, 4 star leaded (Ethanol Free) is available from Northern Energy again. They have taken in a fresh stock that will last a while but I am warned this may well be the last, as Ethanol free super unleaded to blend the lead with is getting harder to
source.
You can phone them on 01423 504881 Northern Energy, Ripon Road ,
Harrogate. HG1 3HJ
I have recently received information from BP that states that BP Ultimate is currently Ethanol free except in South Wales. This situation however could change BP suggests as the EU and government applies pressure to ensure total contamination. E10 is scheduled to be introduced during this year. Any fuel containing more than 7% Ethanol legally has to be marked up at the pumps.
* Please note that E5 was legally introduced by stealth! That is why you may have found your pet seal and rubber hoses melted some time ago and you couldn't work out why!

I wonder if my 16H would make it?
